Bio

I was born in Ankara and am now based in Norway. I am Associate Professor of Cyber Security at the University of Stavanger (UiS) in Stavanger, where I lead research and teaching in trustworthy AI, secure and robust machine learning, and their applications to critical infrastructure.

Before joining UiS, I was at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Simula Research Laboratory, where I worked on adversarial machine learning, privacy-preserving collaboration, and secure systems.

Mission

My mission is to advance trustworthy AI for critical infrastructure: systems that are secure against attacks, transparent in their uncertainties, and built for privacy-preserving collaboration. I aim to bridge theory and practice so that the next generation of networks (including 6G) and AI deployments are robust, explainable, and socially beneficial.
